Last Karneval Hurrah

It was a wonderful last hurrah for Karneval day 5!
Resting all day Sunday was a great idea. We went to Arloff for the final parade and we had so much fun!
The little kids were anticipating the parade with their bags waiting to be filled with goodies!
Candy, popcorn, chips and small toys were one of many things thrown into the hands of the people yelling "Kamlle!"
The costumes (as usual) were superb!
I know Laura's mom already has her costume idea for next year. I'd probably plan my costumes out as well.
We danced so much last night to Karneval music. I will be bringing home a mix CD to keep the celebration alive in America. Also, when I want to think about how much fun I had and all the amazing people I met, I will put it in and smile (and pretend like I remember what is being said :P :D).
I have to say this was a great experience, one of my favorites.
Everyone kept saying how I, and current exchange students present for the Karneval celebration, probably think that Germans are crazy and drink in the streets and party all the time because of what happens during Karneval. But I know better! It's a time of celebration and tradition here in this area of Germany...Even though I do know Germans love to drink their beer! ;)
So all in all, Prost to a fabulous 2012 Karneval and I am so happy I was able to be here for it.
Thanks to everyone who made it memorable.

Tomorrow I shall leave for Frankfurt for a few days.
